Dead One rises against the grain

Just when the world felt Eminem had left them and thereby left the rap game unchecked…along comes DEAD ONE. A southern rapper with a touch of Harley Davidson in him. He crack the scene wide open with he debute single “Ultimate Rap Song” and the video for the single has been passed around more bottle of gin at a Snoop party. I caught up to Dead One to see how it happen.

“I was really trying to retire from rapping. The game had changed and it’s all R&B and rap love songs. That’s not my style so I put my cards on the table and left. But I was chilling in Florida at Orange Beach when Donald “XL” Robertson sent me a new track of his. He’s co-produced it with C-Los. The song was a definite hit. But when he told me ‘It’s the best rap song ever’ I had to step back. I told him he had missed a few things in the song. So I re-cut the song and added what was missing…you know stuff like rims, big bootys, being the boss…stuff like that. I cut the video right there in Florida. I figured my cut would help promote XL’s original track. It wasn’t like I was jumping back in the game. I was just helping a friend out. Little did I know that it would bust out like a rocket.”

The Dead One’s ULTIMATE RAP SONG is available on YouTube and will be reached this summer on iTunes. We hope he doesn’t hang up the mic again because he sure knows how to keep the game fresh.
